Teo Lombardo

About

Teo Lombardo is an energy analyst at the International Energy Agency, focused on transport electrification and battery manufacturing and technologies. He worked as a postdoc in Prof. Jürgen Janek's research group focusing on both solid-state and lithium-ion batteries. He completed his PhD in physical chemistry at the French headquarters for electrochemical energy storage research, the Laboratoire de Réactivité et Chimie des Solides (LRCS). Here he worked on the European Research Council-funded ARTISTIC project, where his primary role was the development and experimental validation of three-dimensional physics-based models of Li-ion battery electrode manufacturing. His previous scientific experiences include a bachelor's degree in Chemistry at the University of Catania (Italy, 2016), a master's degree in Photochemistry and Molecular Materials at the University of Bologna (Italy, 2018), and an internship at the École Normale Supérieure of Paris (France, 2018), where he worked on the experimental coupling of droplet-based microfluidics and electrochemistry.
